Augustana University is the top athletic program in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference for the fourth time in the last six years.

Augustana earned 184.5 points to win the NSIC/US Bank All-Sports Award for the second straight season, the conference announced Wednesday. Minnesota State finished second for the second straight year with 173.5 points, Winona State finished third with 128.5 points.

Augustana won four regular season NSIC Championships in 2015-16, including men’s cross country, women’s golf, men’s basketball and women’s tennis. Augustana had 13 of their 17 NSIC-sponsored sports reach the NCAA Tournament in 2015-16. The Vikings performed will in other conference sports in which they did not win a championship. Baseball, men’s outdoor track and field, men’s and women’s indoor track and field and soccer finished second. Football and women’s cross country finished third. Softball and wrestling finished fourth. Women’s basketball finished fifth and volleyball finished seventh. Since joining the NSIC in 2008-09, Augustana has never finished lower than second.
