Augustana University men’s basketball stayed put at No. 5 in this week’s National Association of Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll the national organization announced Tuesday.

Augustana (22-2, 19-1 NSIC) was also ranked fifth last week after spending the previous two weeks at No. 1 in the NABC poll.

Western Oregon earned 14 first-place votes and the No. 1 spot for the second straight week. The top five spots in this week’s poll went unchanged from last week with Wheeling Jesuit ranked second, West Liberty third, Lincoln Memorial fourth and Augustana in fifth.

Augustana is one of two NSIC teams in this week’s NABC Top 25. MSU Moorhead held on the to the No. 10 spot for the second straight week.   The Vikings have spent 22 straight weeks in the top 10 of the NABC poll dating back to Jan. 13 of last season. Augustana has been ranked inside the top 10 of the NABC poll 29 times in program history. This marks the 28th consecutive week in the rankings for the Vikings dating back to Nov.  25 of last season.
