 Augustana baseball’s senior outfielder Patrick O’Donnell has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday for the first time in his career. 

The Andover, Minnesota native, Division II’s best hitter a season ago, was seeing the baseball to the tune of a team-high .668 batting average in the Vikings 3-1 series victory over Bemidji State. O’Donnell hit two home runs, one in each game Saturday, and also had three doubles for a team-high slugging percentage of 1.250. He also drove in seven RBIs. O’Donnell had two games in the series where he went 4-for-5 at the plate while posting a series on-base percentage of .706 and stealing one base. In the field, O’Donnell was perfect with seven putouts and a 1.000 fielding percentage.  

On the year O’Donnell has a .418 batting average with 28 hits, eight doubles, and three home runs. He has driven in 16 RBIs and scored 18 runs. He has a slugging percentage of .672 and an on-base percentage of .487.
