A pair of Augustana runners have earned the weekly honors in cross country from the Northern Sun Conference.

Augustana University sophomore Mackenzie Kelly was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week the league office announced on Tuesday.

Kelly, a sophomore from Moorhead, Minnesota, finished second in the College Division at the SDSU Classic in Brookings, S.D. last weekend. Kelly finished the 5K course in 18:45.78.
 Augustana University senior Glen Ellingson was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week the league office announced on Tuesday. It is the second straight week Ellingson has been named Athlete of the Week.

Ellingson, a senior from Moorhead, Minnesota, finished eighth against the loaded field at the Chili Pepper Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. last weekend. Ellingson ran the 8K course in 24:19.4 and finished 24th overall out of almost 500 runners.
