Lynsey Prosser, a senior guard on the Augustana women’s basketball team, has been selected to play for the USA D-2 women’s basketball team.

The USA women’s basketball squad is made up of invited NCAA Division II basketball student-athletes from throughout the United States, with each member of the unit having been recognized at the national, regional and conference levels.

Prosser started 32 of 33 games during her junior campaign for the Vikings, averaging 7.8 points-per-game and was second on the team with 110 assists. The Sturgis, South Dakota native scored a season-high 21 points in the second round of the NCAA Tournament vs. Northern State, drilling a season-high five triples in that contest.

The USA D-2 Women’s Basketball team travels to Brazil later this summer, tipping off their 2018 tour in Orlando, Florida on July 30 with the tour wrapping up on August 8. After the team orientation in Orlando, the USA Women’s Basketball squad departs for Sao Paulo, Brazil and participates in their first games on August 1.
