The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference named Augustana senior Kaylea Schorr as its softball player of the week in Monday after the senior helped the lead the Vikings to a 6-0 start in NSIC play last week.

The Mantorville, Minn., native batted .526 for the week, 10 for 19, with a homerun, a double, eight RBI and five runs scored. She drove in the game-winning run in a 7-6 Game 2 win over Concordia-St. Paul on Thursday, and then hit a walk-off RBI single in a Game 1 win over Minnesota State on Friday.

Schorr also posted a perfect fielding percentage during the week in starting all six games at first base, where she recorded 42 putouts in as many chances for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
