Augustana’s pitching staff put on quite a show
Monday, going 1-1 in doubleheader with No. 13 Southern Arkansas.  Tyson
Gau had a solid outing in game one, a 2-1 Muleriders win.  Ryan Hamilton
got his first win of his career in his collegiate debut with a 5-1 victory for
the Vikings.

Augustana went 1-3 in the four-game series with SAU to start the season.

Hamilton (1-0) went five innings, allowing just one hit, one run, while
striking out six in his first start.

The Vikings got the bats going in game two, getting eight hits compared to
Southern Arkansas’ three hits.  Augustana held the Muleriders to just
eight hits combined in the two games, a .156 batting average (8 for 51).
