Augustana men’s and women’s basketball both ranked in the top five in NCAA Division II in attendance for the 2014-15 season the NCAA announced on Monday.
Augustana men’s basketball ranked second in the nation with 48,540 fans attending 18 home games for an average of 2,697 fans per game. The women’s team entertained 32,818 fans for an average of 2,289 fans per game to rank fourth in the country.
The Augustana men have ranked in the top 15 in the nation in attendance for 16 straight seasons, including 13 appearances in the top 10.
The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference ranked second in the nation in women’s basketball attendance in 2014-15. In 231 games, 209,464 fans saw 231 NSIC games for an average of 907 fans per game.
