Augustana University men’s basketball has finalized its 2016-17 schedule, which features an exhibition game at Duke.
The Vikings will take on the Blue Devils at historic Cameron Indoor Stadium on Friday, Nov. 4, as Duke continues its tradition of inviting the previous year’s NCAA Division II National Champion to Durham, North Carolina for an exhibition game.

Augustana is set to open the regular season Nov. 11-12 playing in the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Classic. The Vikings will play Southwestern Oklahoma State at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 before taking on East Central University at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12.
The 2015-16 men’s basketball schedule features 13 home games, starting with a non-conference game against Valley City State on Nov. 14. Augustana will then travel to Maryville, Missouri to take on in-region rival Northwest Missouri State University on Thursday, Nov. 17. The Vikings and Bearcats have met in the NCAA Central Region Tournament in two straight seasons and played a non-conference game last season at the Sioux Falls Arena in November.
Augustana will open its 22-game Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference schedule on Monday, Nov. 21, taking on Wayne State at the Sioux Falls Arena. Following the Thanksgiving holiday, Augustana returns to the floor Dec. 2-3 welcoming Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State to the Arena.
The Vikings will then play three straight games away from home, making a trip to North Dakota to take on Minot State and the University of Mary Dec. 9-10. Augustana will play the second half of the home-and-home series with Wayne State on Dec. 17 in Wayne, Nebraska before returning home to take on Doane University on Monday, Dec. 19 in a non-conference tilt.
Augustana is set to close-out the calendar year Dec. 30-31 with a pair of home games against Southwest Minnesota State and the University of Sioux Falls. The Vikings will ring in the New Year on the road Jan. 6-7 taking on Minnesota State and Concordia-St. Paul.
The Vikings will then return to the Sioux Falls Arena Jan. 13-14 to take on MSU Moorhead and Northern State before setting out on a four-game road swing. Augustana will play at Upper Iowa and Winona State Jan. 20-21 before heading north to take on Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State Jan. 27-28.
Augustana will have two more homestands over the final three weeks of the season, starting with Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State Feb. 3-4. The Vikings final road trip of the regular season is set for Feb. 10-11 at USF and Southwest Minnesota State. Augustana will then welcome Winona State and Upper Iowa Feb. 17-18 to close-out the regular season.
