 The Augustana soccer team came up short in the Northern Sun Conference championship game against Minnesota State, 1-0.

The Vikings are now 13-5-3 on the season and their 13 victories are tied for the third most in program history.

Augustana appeared in their second consecutive NSIC Tournament Championship match and are now 1-1 all-time in conference title games. The Vikings are now 5-6 all-time in the NSIC Tournament.

Hannah KeirsteadEllie KnowlesTaylor Machacek and Emily Jacobson were named to the NSIC All-Tournament team. It is Machacek’s and Jacobson’s second consecutive season being named to the All-Tournament tea.

The lone goal of the match came in the 70th minute when MSU’s Dakota Wendell snuck a ball into the corner of the net.

Minnesota State outshot Augustana 27-6 and had nine shots on goal compared to one by the Vikings.
