Augustana’s Hannah Hankinson has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week the league office announced Wednesday.
Hankinson finished second overall out of 78 players shooting 4-over par 78 in the 36-hole Bearcat Fall Classic in Maryville, Mo.
Hankinson, a freshman from Edina, Minn., paced the Vikings at the Bearcat Fall Classic shooting 2-over-par 74 in both rounds and finished one stroke out of first place. Her two-round score of 78 helped lead the Augustana to a First-Place finish, their third straight victory.
Hankinson is the fourth Viking this season to earn NSIC Golfer of the Week honors. She joins Kali Trautman, Emily Israelson and Jordan Bormann to earn the award this season. This is Hankinson’s first NSIC Golfer of the Week honor.
