Augustana University student-athlete Emily Israelson has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week.

Israelson is coming off a 20th place finish at the University of Indianapolis Fall Invitational.

Israelson, a junior from Staples, Minn., led the Vikings at the two-day tournament with a score of 7-over par 151 and placed 20th out of 93 golfers at the event. After shooting a 77 in the opening round, Israelson improved her score by three to shoot a 74 and jump from 28th to 20th.

Israelson is the second straight Augustana women’s golfer to be named the NSIC Golfer of the Week. This marks the second time in her career that she has been name the NSIC Golfer of the Week.
