Augustana head men’s golf coach Steve Klock announced today that he is resigning his position at Augustana for additional professional opportunities within the private sector.

Klock recently completed his fourth season as the head coach of the men’s golf program, leading the team to its best finish at the NSIC Championships during his tenure in 2014-15.

The fifth-place finish was the highest by the program at the conference championships since 2008-09. A search for a replacement will begin immediately. “On behalf of Augustana Athletics, thank you to coach Klock for his years of service and leadership with our men’s golf program,” Larscheid said. “We wish Steve nothing but the best as he continues his growth professionally.” In 2014-15, Klock led the team to its first team title in over two seasons winning the Upper Iowa Spring Invite on April 4. Klock had two players earn All-NSIC honors this past season, including first team selection Tyler Jensvold and second teamer Parker Klitzke. Klock has coached three All-NSIC selections during his tenure and has had four individuals earn multiple Academic All-NSIC honors.
