Augustana softball saw its historic season come to an end in the NCAA Central Super Regional in a 2-1 loss to No. 2 seed Central Missouri (49-14) on Saturday morning at Bowden Field.

Augustana finishes its season at 53-11 in 2015, after winning its third regular season NSIC Championship and hosting the NCAA Central Super Regional for the second straight season.

Central Missouri advances to the NCAA Division II World Series where it will play the winner of the East Region in Oklahoma City next week.   Augustana, which set a single season school record with 82 home runs in 2015, had its season end due to two solo home runs by the Jennies this morning. Central Missouri scored both of its runs on solo home runs while the Vikings left 10 runners on base.
