Augustana University director of athletics Slade Larscheid announced Monday afternoon the resignation of second-year head volleyball coach Dan Meske

. Meske recently accepted a position as the associate head coach at the University of Louisville.

“On behalf of Augustana athletics, we thank coach Meske for his guidance and leadership,” Larscheid said. “Dan has successfully moved our volleyball program forward. We wish him nothing but the best in the future.”

Meske led Augustana to a 45-17 record over the last two seasons. The Vikings made their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2008 this past season finishing the year 27-6. Augustana won its first NCAA Tournament game since 2006 with a first-round victory over Nebraska-Kearney on Dec. 1.

A national search for a replacement will begin shortly.
