Augustana University graduate forward Mike Busack has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference South Division Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Busack, a 6-foot-5, 205-pound forward from Belview, Minnesota, averaged 18.0 points and 14.0 rebounds helping Augustana to a pair of home wins last weekend.

Busack put up back-to-back double-doubles, setting a career-high in rebounds on Friday before matching it on Saturday. He shot 51.7 percent (15 of 29) from the field, including 50 percent (6 of 12) from 3-point range. Busack grabbed 23 of his 28 rebounds on the defensive glass.

He opened the weekend with 15 points and 14 rebounds in an 87-68 win over Minnesota Crookston. Busack followed that with a 21-point, 14-rebound performance in a 78-60 win over Bemidji State on Saturday. He was 9 of 14 from the field and hit 3 of 4 from behind the arc against the Beavers.

This marks Busack’s second NSIC Player of the Week honor this season. He was named the South Division Player of the Week on Jan. 9. Busack is one of three Vikings to earn NSIC Player of the Week honors this season.
