Augustana running back Jarod Epperson has been named the offensive Player of the Week in football for the Northern Sun Conference.

Among the reasons the freshman from Omaha was honored:

– Led the NSIC last week with 236 all-purpose yards in the Vikings’ 51-6 win at Minot State
– Rushed for a season-high 156 yards, the top rushing performance in the NSIC last week
– His 94-yard rush is the second-longest in Augustana program history
– Had a season-high 82 yards receiving,
– Finished with six rushes for 156 yards for a 26 yards per rush average
– Ranks sixth in total yards in the NSIC and ninth in the nation with an average of 7.1 yards per carry
