Augustana athletes were in the spotlight in Northern Sun Conference sports over the weekend.

The Vikings earned two titles and were favored to win a third.

Augustana won its sixth straight NSIC/US Bank Women’s Golf Championship as the Vikings finished round four with a tournament low team score of 316 to win by 22 strokes.  Augustana’s Sierra Langie led start to finish as she took home medalist honors as she finished seven strokes ahead of teammate Emily Israelson.

– Augustana defeated Upper Iowa 5-1 to win their fifth straight NSIC/US Bank Women’s Tennis Tournament Championship. The Vikings now receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Central Region Tournament, which will take place on campuses on May 2-5.

The 2015 NSIC Softball Tournament bracket has been set as regular season play finished up Sunday afternoon.  The top ten teams in the final regular season standings will participate in the double-elimination tournament, which will be held April 30 – May 2 at Sherman Park in Sioux Falls, S.D.

No. 11 Augustana earned the number one seed after winning the NSIC Regular Season Championship with their 28-2 league record.
