Augustana University head men’s basketball coach Tom Billeter announced Thursday the signing of Adam Dykman (Fremont, Nebraska) to a letter of intent to continue his academic and basketball career at Augustana.
Dykman, a 6-foot-7, 225-pound forward, is transferring to Augustana from South Dakota State and will be a sophomore in 2017-18 for the Vikings. Dykman played in nine games for the Jackrabbits as a redshirt freshman in 2016-17 after sitting out the 2015-16 season as a redshirt.
He is a 2015 graduate of Archbishop Bergan High School where he was a four-year letterwinner. Dykman was named Nebraska’s Mr. Basketball in 2015 after averaging 22.9 points, 12.1 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game as a senior while helping his team to a third-place finish in the state
. He set single season records for rebounds (326) and free throws made (194) as a senior. Dykman graduated with a school record 720 career rebounds and the best 3-point field goal percentage (.423) in school history.
