The Summit League Men’s Basketball Tournament ranked among the top-10 for highest average attendance during the 2014-15 Division I season according to an NCAA report
. Among 22 traditional mid-major leagues, The Summit ranked second for highest average tournament attendance.
With a league record 8,903 fans per session at the new Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, The Summit League placed ninth out of 30 tournaments across Division I.
Overall, The Summit League is one of 12 Division I leagues to see an attendance increase during the 2014-15 men’s basketball season. The league placed 20th among the 32 conferences and 10th among 22 traditional mid-majors. An average of 2,192 fans attended the 129 games held at Summit League venues in 2014-15, a total that does not include Omaha, due to its reclassification period to Division I.
