The American Sheep Industry Association is in the process of developing a Secure Sheep and Wool Supply plan. ASI Executive Director Peter Orwick says it’s a business plan to help producers deal with any foreign animal disease outbreak such as F-M-D or disruption to their industry.

He says they’ve been partnering with Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in formulating this plan.

Orwick says phase two of the plan will involve outreach and will take place the latter half of this year into early 2021.

Orwick says for more information on the Secure Sheep and Wool Supply Plan, you can log onto SecureSheepWool.org or go to their ASI website.
