Stress levels are high among America’s soybean farmers as indicated in a survey done by an American Soybean Association Task Force. Task Force Chairman Kevin Scott says while producers are undergoing some stress there are some positives in terms of farmers getting the inputs they need for their upcoming spring planting.
He says some of the concerns caused by the pandemic center around connectivity and broadband issues as well as immigration and the need for ag labor.
Scott says most soybean farmers are doing well with social distancing but have found some challenges with the handwashing although they are keeping up to protect themselves.
Leaders from the American Soybean Association, United Soybean Board and U.S. Soybean Export Council were included in the survey.
