ASA President Pleased With WRDA Conference Report

This week, Congress is expected to take up the conference passed report on the Water Resources and Development Act or WRDA bill. American Soybean Association President and Iowa farmer Ray Gaesser says the conference committee passage of WRDA is a huge step forward to ensure the continued success of the soybean supply chain.
Gaesser who was in Washington D.C. last week says there’s still a lot of work to do to make sure lock and dam repair and upkeep is adequately funded because the conference report didn’t address that very well.
Besides the American Soybean Association, the American Farm Bureau, the National Grain and Feed Association and Waterways Council all expressed support for the WRDA measure.
