The recent revamp of NAFTA, the US Mexico Canadian Trade Agreement along with the remake of the US South Korean FTA is giving U.S. farmers hope that are suffering from the US. China Trade War. American Soybean Association President John Heisdorffer says he’d like to see this spur China to move forward with resolving the tariff battle.

He says all these trade deals along with this week’s large purchase of Iowa and Minnesota Soybeans by Taiwan although helpful in dealing with China doesn’t solve all the negative impacts of the Trade War.

Heisdorffer is hoping recent U.S. market success with other trading partners will spur China to come to the table on the tariff battle and work out a resolution.

Heisdorffer is also encouraged that the U.S. is continuing to make progress in trading with the E.U.
