American Soybean Association leaders are hoping to work with President Obama and Congress on three key industry issues this year.
ASA President Wade Cowan, a West Texas farmer says the President and Congress have an opportunity to come together on issues that can drive real progress for soybean farmers. He says rural development and rural broadband is one area.
Cowan says another critical area that needs funding help is infrastructure which is vital for shipping of soybeans and other ag commodities.
Cowan says the third priority is for Congress and President Obama to come together to see needed trade deals approved. He says TPP with the Asian countries needs to be completed first followed by the Trans Atlantic agreement with the European Union.
