President Trump has nominated American Soybean Association CEO Steve Censky as Deputy Secretary of Agriculture. ASA Board member and South Dakota farmer Kevin Scott says Censky is a good choice for that job.
He says farmers will benefit by having Censky in the USDA post if he’s confirmed.
Scott says his board was aware Censky was being considered for Deputy Ag Secretary and a search committee is already in place looking for his replacement as CEO:
ASA Chief Financial Officer Brian Vaught will fill in as interim CEO once Censky is confirmed at USDA.
