ARPA Funds Helping Students Recover Lost Learning

The Yankton School District will get about five million dollars in federal ARPA funds, designed to help recover from the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.

District Curriculum Director Nicole Valnes detailed how those funds are being spent to the school board last (Monday) night….

Valnes says there is a big emphasis on math instruction….

Valnes says they hope to add more people to the high school staff next year…..

The school board had approved the spending earlier this year. The district has about three years to spend all the federal dollars.
