Bowl assignments were announced Sunday for Minnesota, Iowa State and Iowa football squads.
The Gophers will be in action first as they travel to Detroit to face Georgia Tech in the Quick Lane Bowl on December 26. Minnesota won its final regular season game to become bowl eligible at 6-6 while Tech is 7-5.
Iowa State will play Dec. 28 in the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio against Washington State. The Cyclones went 8-4 while their opponents went 10-2.
Iowa has a New Years Day game as the Hawkeyes meet Mississippi State in the Outback Bowl in
Tampa. Both teams went 8-4 this season.
