Conference play is in the spotlight for area college football teams this weekend.

The University of South Dakota opens Missouri Valley Football Conference play on the road at nationally ranked Youngstown State Saturday.

Big Ten Conference play finds Nebraska and Iowa hosting games with Minnesota on the road. The Huskers entertain Illinois while the Hawkeyes host Northwestern. The Gophers travel to Penn State.

Iowa State is home to Baylor in Big 12 action.
