The Iowa State FFA Convention wrapped up yesterday in Ames with more than 5,000 in attendance including area FFA members. One of those was Jamison TeSlaa with the Boyden-Hull FFA Chapter. He says it was a fulfilling convention for him this year as he received his state degree.
Evan VerSteeg, a junior at West Lyon was a member of this year’s convention courtesy corps. He also placed second in the Swine Entrepreneurship Proficiency and third in the state in the job interview Career Development Event.
He says West Lyon had 40 members participating in judging and leadership events and receiving various awards at this year’s convention.
