Today the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court of Appeals issued a stay order stopping implementation of the Waters of the U.S. Rule in all fifty states. National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Vice President of Government Affairs Colin Woodall says that eliminates confusion with the previous court orders that had stopped implementation in only 13 states.
Woodall says the court order is a big victory for the nation’s cattle producers and for agriculture in general.
Woodall says despite the court stay, NCBA won’t rest on their laurels and will continue to battle the rule both in Congress and in the courts.
Woodall says NCBA will move ahead with their own lawsuit against the EPA and the Corps and expects the 16 other lawsuits to proceed against those agencies as well over WOTUS.
