American Coalition for Ethanol Board President, Ron Alverson of Chester, South Dakota spoke at the annual conference in Omaha on Thursday. He says it’s important to dispel the negative messages out about ethanol. Alverson says the ACE needs to keep speaking to consumers about how positive renewable fuels are.
Alverson is disappointed the EPA has proposed RFS volume levels lower than the statutory requirements. He says, originally, the agency had given support to ethanol but has reversed that support.
Alverson is hoping they’ll be able to convince the EPA to restore those RFS volume levels to the statutory requirements.
