American Soybean Association members hit Capitol Hill this week for their annual lobbying effort.  ASA Board Member and Belden, Nebraska producer Jim Miller says one of their top priorities is defending biodiesel.  They’re expecting EPA’s final decision within days on the volume levels for the biofuel under the Renewable Fuels Standard.  Meanwhile they’re also trying to get the biodiesel tax credit re-instated.

Miller says the comment period has also closed on FDA’s proposal to ban transfat in partially hydrogenated veg or soybean oil.

Other A-S-A priorities include trade, taxes and transportation.
