American Farm Bureau members wrapped up their annual convention Wednesday and approved policy for the year. Minnesota Farm Bureau President Kevin Paap says one policy they passed had to do with lab grown, cell cultured and traditional meat. He says he chaired the subcommittee that looked at that issue.
He says their delegates also passed a resolution calling for negotiating trade deals rather than instituting tariffs and also for inclusion in the CPTPP.
Paap says during the resolution session as well as the entire convention their members also talked about the farm financial and other stresses producers are going through.
Paap says they had 352 delegates from all fifty states and Puerto Rico participating in their convention and resolution process.
