Members and supporters of the American Coalition for Ethanol held their fly in this week in the nation’s capital. South Dakota Corn Grower’s President Keith Alverson was part of that group. He says the biggest message they carried to members of Congress and their staff was the need to keep the Renewable Fuel Standard intact.
Alverson says one of their biggest challenges is to get newly elected members of Congress up to speed on the importance of the RFS and renewable issues.
Alverson says they made several hill visits on Tuesday and Wednesday.
