Eighty-four players from around South Dakota will take part in this year’s state High School All-Star Football Game.

The July 9 game will be in the DakotaDome in Vermillion, which won the bid last November. It’s the first time that the game will be held outside of Aberdeen, which hosted it for three decades.

Officials this year also are doing away with the $300 fee that athletes had to pay to play. Business sponsorships will be used to defray costs.

The players and nine coaches were announced Monday. They’ll report July 6 for practices and activities leading up to the game.
