The National Consumers League has come out with their list of the most dangerous summer jobs for teenagers. Agriculture is one of the top five, mainly as a result of harvest activities, as well as dangers associated with running farm machinery. Farm Safety for Just Kids Education Director Shari Burgus says agriculture usually makes the list. She says its important young people working on farms and ranches get proper education and training to prevent accidents.

She says special attention also needs to paid to teenagers working in or around grain storage structures.

Burgus says Farm Safety for Just Kids has farm safety information available on their website that can help in the education process.

Farm Safety for Just Kids has educational resources that cover everything from tractor to ATV safety to animals, chemicals, rural roads and grains.
