Agriculture groups across the country have joined in a federal lawsuit against the State of California for inaccurately classifying glyphosate as a carcinogen under Prop 65.
The groups believe the State of California ignored the science and research that proves glyphosate to be an environmentally-safe and widely-used herbicide.
Dan Wogsland with the North Dakota Grain Growers explains why they joined the lawsuit.

He says legally the state of California is on shaky ground with their claims that glyphosate and a range of other products cause cancer.

Other groups in the lawsuit include: the National Corn Growers Association, National Association of Wheat Growers, South Dakota Agri-Business Association and the United States Durum Growers Association.
