A coalition of 12 agricultural and conservation groups are asking the Administration for climate smart investments. Leading that coalition is the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives and the National Milk Producers Federation. NCFC President and CEO Chuck Conner says it’s important to provide new funding for agricultural practices that help farmers build on their environmental stewardship.

He says farmers have been using solid practices to enhance the environment and getting that recognized and funded is something the administration should do especially if they want to meet net zero emissions in the future.

Conner says getting the Administration and Congress to work together on this or any issue is the real challenge.

Signing onto the letter with NCFC and the National Milk Producers Federation are the Ag Retailers Association, American Seed Trade Association and the National Association of Conservation Districts along with seven others.
