Congress is moving to avoid a federal government shutdown by passing another short term funding bill.

Thune says they were able to avoid the shutdown because democrats separated the funding bill from the debt limit increase….

Thune says the plan will fund the government for a few more weeks….

Administration officials are warning the debt limit has to be raised by October 18th to avoid a financial crisis.
