AGP’s first soybean processing plant project in South Dakota is progressing on schedule. AGP Vice President Matt Caswell says construction at the Aberdeen site is going smoothly and they’re getting great assistance from local government officials, as well as the development corporation.
He says their timeline is to complete construction and be processing soybeans by 2019.
Caswell says the Aberdeen areas is the perfect fit for their project because of all the soybeans grown in the region. He says once processing begins the plant will provide quite a few jobs.
He says the Aberdeen plant will process between 35 million to 40 million bushels of soybeans annually.
