AGP officials are reporting steady progress on their new soybean processing facility in Aberdeen, South Dakota. AGP Vice President for Corporate relations and government affairs Matt Caswell says they’re expecting to break ground in the spring of 2017 with processing of soybeans in 2019.
Caswell says the Aberdeen South Dakota facility will be AGP’s 10th soybean processing plant and once fully operational will ship soybean meal out to Washington state where it will go to Pacific Rim markets.
He says their new Aberdeen processing facility will have a major positive effect on South Dakota and the entire region.
The South Dakota facility will employ 50 people when its fully operational in 2019.
