American Soybean Association and National Corn Growers leaders have released a statement regarding an expected upcoming report to be issued by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. The statement by IARC suggests that 2-4-D pesticide is a probable carcinogen. ASA Chairman and Iowa grower Ray Gaesser is skeptical of the report.

Gaesser says not only are 2-4-D and glyphosate tested and proven products, but farmers have guidelines to use these chemicals responsibly and safely.

Gaesser says this comes on the heels of a similar report in which the agency addressed glyphosate herbicide.
