Ag United for South Dakota is hosting a state legislative candidate forum on rural issues this Wednesday near Baltic. President Richard Vasgaard says they’ve invited candidates in rural areas of Districts 9, 10 and 25, which are adjacent to Sioux Falls. Currently 14 of the 18 candidates will be participating.

Vasgaard says the forum is designed to learn more about the candidate’s positions on various ag issues, but also educate them on legislation important to the industry.

He says the audience will have the chance to ask questions and they anticipate hot button issues ranging from immigration to zoning.

The forum will start at 7pm at the Morton Center near Baltic.
