Ag United of South Dakota is hosting an open house at Drumgoon Dairy, North of Lake Poinsett. Ag United’s Outreach Director Heidi Zwinger says it’s an opportunity for consumers to see how a hi-tech modern dairy operates using robotics.
She says by using robotics on their operation the Elliotts are able to operate their dairy farm efficiently and effectively while protecting the environment.
Zwinger says by using robotics and efficient technology they’re able to care for 5500 cows growing from 1400 cows when they first started.
