Ag Secretary Says Market Access Needed In TPP

President Obama heads to Japan in two weeks to meet with Prime Minister Abe. The TPP will be at the center of those discussions and  Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack says Japan and Canada must deliver on market access for TPP to be a successful agreement.

Vilsack says the unveiling of a bi lateral deal between Japan and Australia creates some snags in the TPP discussions.

Vilsack says while it’s better if Japan is a part of the TPP, one option is to complete that FTA without Japan if they won’t come to the table on market access.
