Ag PhD will have a float in the 2018 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. The float, Salute to Farmers, aligns perfectly with this year’s parade theme, which is “Making a Difference.” Ag PhD’s Darren Hefty says it will showcase how farmers make a difference every day by producing the world’s food supply. Hefty says they worked with parade committee members to get approval to feature 100 farmers on the float from around the country.

Hefty says their parade entry will highlight how today’s farms are high-tech businesses.

Farmers are also involved in putting the finishing touches on the float and have contributed seed from all over the nation to incorporate into the design.

RFD-TV is supporting the entry and will be broadcasting the parade on their network on New Year’s Day.
