COVID-19 is definitely changing the way agriculture is doing business and that’s true in the financial sector. Farm Credit Services of America is one of many ag lenders with very few personnel at offices. Executive Vice President of Business Development Ken Keegan says they’re limiting walk in traffic and have shifted to conducting most business electronically.

He says they’re also using some creative methods to conduct business during renewal season.

However, Keegan admits there are some farmers that are internet challenged or limited by broadband services in rural areas.

Keegan says most of their employees are able to use technology to work from home at their 48 branches across the region.
