Ag Day at Pavilion a Hit

More than 2,200 Sioux Falls area consumers attended Ag Day at the Pavilion on Saturday in Sioux Falls. The 13th annual event was bigger than ever…featuring everything from live animal exhibits to various hand-on activities designed to teach consumers about the state’s number one industry. Washington Pavilion PR Director Michele Wellman was pleased with the turnout.

At the South Dakota Soybean booth both kids and adults could spin the wheel to answer an ag related question and win a prize. The booth was run by Common Ground volunteers including Amanda Eben.

South Dakota Farm Bureau had two displays. Women’s Leadership Team Chair Cindy Foster says one featured baby lambs for the kids to pet and the other highlighted wheat production.

The Ag Day at the Pavilion event was held in conjunction with National Ag Week.
