The United States Ag Coalition for Cuba is seeing increased ag trade opportunities for the U.S. in the island nation. USACC Chairman Paul Johnson says he’ll be meeting with Cuba’s President and other American ag leaders at the end of the month to talk about further possibilities for trade.

He says in addition USACC is planning an Agriculture Business Conference in Havana November 8 through the 10. Johnson says Cuba wants to import more U.S. commodities going forward.

Johnson is also hoping President Trump’s trade mitigation package that calls for more trade opportunities will also lead to more trade with Cuba.

Johnson says their November conference will include everyone from trade ministers, ag industry leaders, farmers, cooperative representatives and decision makes from Cuba’s newly formed government.
